Deep opaque red with purple hue.  Lifted complex plum and spice characters on the nose with interesting notes of spicy oak. The palate is medium bodied full flavoured lively and well balanced.

The finish is harmonious and long, leaving spicy dark chocolate cherry pip flavours lingering on the palate. It shows all the hallmarks of world class Shiraz treated with good oak maturation to produce a great wine with good ageing potential.

Origin of Fruit: Barossa Valley Shiraz 89%, Eden Valley Shiraz 11%

Maturation:Inoculated with AWRI yeast. Open fermentation with daily plunging or rack & return. Major portion racked to new American oak hogsheads at 2.5-3.5 Baume for barrel fermentation and lees stirring. Maturation was 16 months in 70% American oak barrels (30% new) and 30% new and second use French oak hogsheads.

 Vintage Comments: Dry winter, warm October, warm dry ripening conditions combined with low-yields led to good varietal expression in Shiraz. Vintage commenced early in first week of February.

Vintage Comments:   A wet winter led to a dry frosty period in October and November. It was generally fine and cool through harvest. Yields were low, fruit was concentrated in flavour. The expression of classic perfume & cherry varietal flavours was achieved.



Delivery of Alcohol – Under the SA Liquor Requirements we are unable to send alcohol where the order value of alcohol exceeds 50% of the total order value. In addition our delivery people must be satisfied that the person taking the delivery is over 18 years of age.

If the person accepting the delivery of alcohol is clearly over the age of 18 you must:

  • have the person sign a declaration with their name stating that they are 18 years or over,


  • keep a written record and the signed declaration for one year following the delivery.

If it’s unclear whether the person accepting the delivery of alcohol is over 18, we require evidence of their age and identity by sighting a current:

  • Australian driver’s licence
  • Australian proof of age document
  • passport
  • photographic keypass identification card.

If the person provides evidence that they are over 18, we are required to keep a written record for one year that evidence of their age and identity was provided. The written record must include:

  • the type of evidence of identity and age document produced
  • the name and date of birth on the document
  • the address where the alcohol was delivered.
